How to Change Your VPN on iPhone?

Method 1: Change VPN server (stay with same provider)

For switching between countries or cities — most common case.

1. Open your VPN app (NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Proton VPN, etc.).
2. From the country list, map, or search bar, pick a new location.
3. Tap the country / server. The app disconnects from the current server and reconnects to the new one in 3-8 seconds.
4. The "VPN" badge in the status bar stays visible — only the underlying server changed.

Method 2: Switch to a different VPN provider

Useful when switching from NordVPN to ExpressVPN, or trying a new service.

1. Install the new VPN app from the App Store and sign in.
2. Open the new VPN app and tap Connect — it will install its VPN profile.
3. iOS automatically replaces the previous VPN configuration with the new one.
4. To remove the old provider: long-press the old app → Delete App.

Method 3: Change VPN settings (protocol, kill switch)

1. Open the VPN app and go to Settings (usually a gear icon).
